Academic Fees for Charlton House

Enrollment limited offers for 2021/22 Academic Year & Beyond

At Charlton House Independent School, we understand that the last 12 months have impacted upon many families and their discussions around education and schooling for their children. We believe that the current climate should not prevent families from choosing an independent education for their children.

We believe that all children should have access to an educational environment within which they can thrive and flourish. School closures and remote learning have led to many children losing confidence. Our smaller classes and expert staff are ready to welcome new pupils and support them in their learning journeys. We would therefore like to extend the following introductory offer to prospective parents that enrol before Friday 28 May 2021;

  • 50% off fees for academic year 2021/22 (from £2.86 per day)
  • 40% off fees for academic year 2022/23 (from £5.07 per day)
  • 25% off fees for academic year 2023/24 (from 16.61 per day)

Academic School Fees

Our fees are payable on or before the first day of each term, however they can also be settled by way of 12 equal monthly instalments. Included within our fees are all books, stationary and a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs that are offered during lunchbreaks and after school.

The full academic school fees for year 2020/21 (excluding any discount) can be broken down as follows;

  • £673.75 per month; or
  • £2,695.00 per term; or
  • £8,085.00 per academic year

Please note that upon registration of a new pupil, a Registration Fee of £150.00 will become payable along with a Deposit of £250.00. (The Deposit will be deductible from the final year’s fees.)

Early Years Funding

Charlton House Independent School is an ‘Approved Provider’ participating in the Government’s Early Years Funding Scheme. This entitles parents to claim up to 15 hours per week of free early years education for six terms. The provision commences the term after a child reaches their 3rd birthday, and continues up to and including the term in which they turn 5. For this academic year, for example, this would have contributed circa £3,000 towards the school fees and reduced the year’s fees down to £5,085 for the entire year (if the pupil benefitted from funding for all three academic terms).

How to apply:

Once your child starts at Charlton House Independent School, you will be asked to complete a Parental Declaration form for your eligible child.  The school is then notified of the funding amount for each term, as the number of weeks vary. Our School office takes care of all of the administration aspects of the funding for you and you do not need to do anything else.

Discounts and Reductions on Academic Fees

We offer a sibling discount of 10% for a second child attending the school. Families with three or more siblings attending the school will be given further significant reductions following a discussion with the Head Teacher.  All children must attend the school at the same time to be eligible for any discounts.

If the full academic year’s fees are paid prior to the commencement of the academic year, we offer a 3% discount. We also offer alumni and ‘Old Simmarian’ discount at a rate of 5% per annum and bursaries are also available to eligible pupils.
