About our school
Charlton House Independent School is a non- selective, co-educational, independent day school where boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years thrive in our unique family environment. Charlton House benefits from being located close to the heart of Southampton and uniquely situated within acres of spectacular open fields and woodlands with far-reaching views over the city.
The fulcrum of our school is a modern four-storey building where our pupils benefit from the luxury of space in the current social climate. Designed and built in the 1990’s, the architecture affords all classrooms a wealth of space and natural light. Our main building is home to an extensive music and performing arts studio; a large modern multi-purpose gymnasium; a language suite and a recently refurbished library where our pupils can immerse themselves in a wide range of literature offered in different media.
Charlton House Independent School offers a creative and balanced curriculum and due to limited class sizes, each pupil benefits immensely from individualised learning. The diversity of school clubs offered to our pupils allows each and every child to find and feed their passion. We pride our school on cultivating and offering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where each and every child matters and achieves.
